The Camel Trail Bodmin – Padstow

For those who enjoy walking or cycling at a modest pace this is a must for all the family to enjoy whilst on holiday. The trail follows the ever changing estuary from Bodmin through Wadebridge to Padstow and cycle hire is available at both ends of the trail. Nearest access to the trail is just 2 miles away from the holiday park.

Padstow – Ancient Fishing Harbour

As well as being one of Cornwall’s most famous fishing villages due to the culinary skills of Rick Stein, Padstow is just under six miles away and is a charming village with a wealth of character, steeped in history. The beaches around Padstow and Polzeth are some of the most popular surfing beaches in Cornwall, with rolling Atlantic waves and fine golden sands. A passenger ferry takes visitors to the neighbouring village of Rock. You will find a host of restaurants, café’s and pubs alongside boutique shops and gift shops. If a spot of fishing takes your fancy then why not join one of the many charter boat trips that leave from the harbour daily.

Wadebridge

A lovely flourishing market town only two miles away nestling on the banks of the River Camel with many places to eat and good selection of both high-street and indivual shops to browse through. Wadebridge also has a cinema showing the latest releases, perfect fro a family night out!

Watergate Bay

Watergate Bay is a surfers dream with a wide expanse of golden sand and some of the best waves in Cornwall! Try your hand at some extreme sports including Surfing, Kite Surfing and Bodyboarding. Watergate is also home to Jamie Oliver’s new restaurant 15.
