Introduction:
The park is situated at the junction of the A39 and Padstow
Road A389 at Whitecross near Wadebridge, Cornwall PL27
7JQ. The nearest public transport is at the entrance to
the Lane adjoining the Park. Some 50 yds from the entrance
to the car park. |
Arrival and Car Parking:
Directions to the park are shown on the web site and on
confirmation document. A tarmac lane leads to two entrances
– one to the Car Park and cottages and the other to the
touring field. Designated car parking is available to
the cottages and car parking is allowed on all touring
pitches, mainly on grass. |
Main Entrances and Reception:
There are two entrances off a lane leading to a bridlepath.
Reception is adjacent to the cottages inside the first
entrance off the car park with no steps. This is not manned
for any specific hours but a notice informs visitors and
a contact telephone number is displayed along with information
for emergencies. Inside the main entrance to the touring
field there are two hardstanding pitches and there is
an information board where allocation of pitches is displayed
and Reception is signposted. The emergency telephone is
situated outside Reception. There is also the Managers
Motorhome with emergency bell for contact. |
Touring and Tenting Amenities:
During all the season the amenities block is open offering
toilets, showering and washbasins, washing up area, information
leaflets and notices. None are fully accessible for wheelchair
users. At one end of the amenities block there is an elsan
point and at the other end drinking water taps. |
Laundry Facilities:
The Laundry is situated in the amenity block and houses
a large washing machine, dryer and ironing facilities.
There are large sinks at the end of the amenity block
for hand washing and dunking wet suits. There is an area
for drying washing and a separate area under cover for
drying wet suits. |
Play Park and Ball Games Area:
The Play Park consists of swings, climbing frame and play
boat all set on wood chips. There is a large trampoline
with safety net and a separate area for ball games, etc. |
Dog Exercise Area:
There is a designated area to exercise dogs with purpose
bins for dog waste. There is also a special rail to tie
dogs to whilst using the shower block. |
Waste Disposal:
There are designated areas for waste disposal consisting
of general waste bin, vegetable waste bin and recycling
bins. |
Storage Area:
The storage area is on gravel and is next to the car park.
Any access to this area is by agreement only. |
Future:
We continue to look for improvements. A road around the
touring field is planned for next season and also a footpath
across the grass area to access the amenity block. Also
planned is a new recycling area to incorporate the two
already existing. |
